Keith Robinson

Hi, well I really am something of an industry veteran having been in this business for 32 years and had the benefit of working in the media, agency and technology space. So a rounded (in more ways than one) industry pro.
Back in the 80’s I worked in the publishing world and was Recruitment Manager for Computer Weekly is the days when we did 120 page issues and turned over a £1m a month. I had the great privilege to be the founder of Personnel Today and from that launch the RAD’s, a wonderful period.
During the 90’s I was a Media director and Board Director of two great Recruitment Advertising Agencies; Barkers and Riley and in-between was MD for National and Regional Sales at Thomson Regional Newspapers.
Whilst at Riley in 97 I really got into the web and saw the huge opportunities that it would have for recruitment and also how it could/would change our industry.
In late 1999 I joined Totaljobs.com as Website Director and subsequently became COO, we built a business that started as Totaljobs.com but rolled out a vertical job board strategy and we became Totaljobs Group also I was instrumental in the building of The Network as consortium of leading global job boards. Prior to leaving Totaljobs I spent a year launching Totaljobs.NL our Dutch site.
In 2006 after leaving Totaljobs.com I was retained by The Network as an advising consultant, I aslo moved to New York and founded and launched Candex.com an Ebbay for jobs.
A year ago I founded ECOM Digital a Content Marketing and Media Agency, we believe that today we are all publisher and that “Content is King” and should support any long term engagement program.
We help clients develop content strategies, produce content and then build distribution networks; we also build Candidate Relationship Management programs via our content approach. Today we manage content marketing strategies for over 20 companies, including job boards, vendors, recruitment consultancies plus run a number of corporate organizations CRM programs.
In addition ECOM publishes The Recruitment Buzz, HR Buzz. Recruitment Media News and The Recruitment Buzz Europe.
